A reference list of 108 Amharic and Ethiopian personal names, with meanings included. It contains 54 male names and 54 female names for use with Amharic-speaking or Ethiopian characters, or as inspiration for fictional cultures. Male names can also be used unchanged as patronymic surnames. For example, Meles, son of Dawit, may be known as “Meles Dawit” rather than using a separate surname form.
