Ludoya connects with the tools and platforms you already use. Sync your collection and plays with other sites, link Telegram for group notifications, export your data, and share your gaming life beyond Ludoya.

BoardGameGeek (BGG)

Sync your collection and play history with BoardGameGeek, the world's largest board game database.

How to connect: Go to Settings > Integrations > BoardGameGeek. Enter your BGG username and, if you're exporting, your BGG password.

What syncs:

  • Import collection — pull your BGG collection into Ludoya
  • Import plays — bring your BGG play history into your Ludoya stats
  • Export collection — push your Ludoya collection to BGG
  • Export plays — send your Ludoya plays to BGG

Start Sync From date filter: When importing plays, choose a start date. Only plays recorded on or after that date will import. Useful for picking up where you left off.

Sync status: Watch your sync progress in real time. You'll see:

  • Pending — waiting to start
  • Waiting for BGG — request sent, waiting for response
  • Importing — downloading from BGG
  • Exporting — uploading to BGG
  • Completed — done, with counts (e.g., "Imported 45 games, 120 plays")
  • Error — something went wrong; check your username and password

Automatic or manual sync: BGG sync is managed server-side on a regular schedule, but you can also trigger Sync Now anytime to refresh immediately.

Board Game Arena (BGA)

Import your play history from Board Game Arena into Ludoya (collection import is not available).

How to connect: Go to Settings > Integrations > Board Game Arena. Enter your BGA username and password.

What syncs:

  • Import plays — bring your BGA play history into Ludoya

Start Importing From: Choose a start date. Only plays after that date will import.

Automatic or manual sync: Like BGG, BGA syncs on a server-managed schedule. Use Sync Now to import immediately.

Telegram Bot

Use the @ludoyabot to link Ludoya with your personal Telegram account or connect your gaming group's Ludoya group to a Telegram chat.

Personal account linking: For individual push notifications from Ludoya, link your personal account to Telegram in Settings > Integrations > Telegram. When linked, notifications can be delivered directly to your Telegram DM.

Group linking (Club and Business tiers only): Connect the group attached to an organization account to a Telegram chat to post automatic event announcements and updates in Telegram. This requires an organization on Club or Business — plain groups stay on the free plan and can't use this integration.

  1. Log in as the organization and go to Organization Settings > Integrations > Telegram
  2. Generate a link code
  3. In Telegram, add @ludoyabot to your chat
  4. Type /link <code> in the chat
  5. The bot confirms the connection

Whenever an event is created or changes in that organization's group, the Telegram chat is notified automatically.

Google Sign-In

Sign into Ludoya using your Google account instead of an email and password.

How it works: On the sign-in page, tap Sign In with Google. If you don't have a Ludoya account yet, one will be created automatically. If you already have an account, your Google account will be linked to it.

Note: You must have an active Google account. Two-factor authentication on Google is supported.

Calendar Export

Export your Ludoya events to Apple Calendar, Outlook, Google Calendar, Thunderbird, or any app that supports iCalendar format.

Available formats:

  • iCalendar (.ics) — download a file to import into Apple Calendar, Outlook, or Thunderbird
  • Google Calendar direct link — subscribe directly from Google Calendar

What's included: Event title, date, time, location, and a link back to the event in Ludoya so you can check the guest list, discussion, and details anytime.

How to export: Go to the event page and tap Export to Calendar or use the Calendar link in your group's Events tab.

Embeddable Widgets

Embed Ludoya content into your own website or community forum using HTML iframe snippets. Widgets are styled to fit seamlessly and include a "Powered by Ludoya" badge.

Available embeds:

  • Group games — display the games in a group's collection
  • Group plays — show recent plays from a group
  • Group events — list upcoming events
  • User collection — display a player's personal game collection

How to get embed code: On the relevant page (group page, collection, etc.), look for a Share > Embed button. Copy the HTML snippet and paste it into your website.

Embed mode: In embed view, the Ludoya top navigation and footer are hidden, showing only the content you want to feature.

Image Sharing

Generate downloadable or shareable images of your collection, play stats, and summaries — perfect for Discord, social media, or printing. Available to everyone, on every tier.

What you can export:

  • Collection grid — a visual grid of your game covers
  • Play summaries — a snapshot of your gaming activity for a month or year (see Play Logging)
  • Events — a shareable card for an event with title, date, venue, and attendee count
  • Plays — a shareable card for a specific play with the game, players, and final scores

Customization options:

  • Custom title and subtitle — use placeholders like %USERNAME%, %PERIOD%, %PLAYS%, %TIME% to auto-fill dynamic values
  • Background options — pick from the preset background styles
  • Labels toggles — show or hide play counts, play times, and game names on each game
  • Sort order — arrange by Play Time, Play Count, and other criteria
  • Item limit — cap how many games appear in the image
  • Resolution — pick from standard sizes (e.g., Normal 1080×1080 for square social posts) up to high-quality output

Auto-Rendered Link Previews

When you drop a Ludoya link into a post, comment, or message, Ludoya automatically renders a rich preview of whatever the link points to — no need to attach anything extra. Drop a link to:

  • A collection — the preview shows a live snapshot of that collection
  • A game — the preview shows the game's cover, rating, and key info
  • An event — the preview shows title, date, venue, and attendee count
  • A scheduled game — the preview shows seats, date, and who's joined
  • A play — the preview shows the game, players, and score
  • A user profile, group, or organization — the preview shows avatar, name, and summary

The link stays clickable and readers can jump straight through, but the inline preview gives them the gist without leaving the conversation. It works across feeds, group chats, event threads, and anywhere else you can post text.
