A Game of Thrones: The Card Game (Second Edition) – Taking the Black
This expansion sets play at the opening of the saga, when the realm is outwardly peaceful but rivalries begin to surface. It adds characters, locations, and events tied to the earliest chapters of the story, including newly available character cards and four additional plot cards (two neutral and two faction-specific). Players integrate these cards into their existing decks to expand deckbuilding options, bring new tactics and combos into conflicts, and introduce early-game strategies that reflect the political tensions and key figures of the period.
