This character-creation supplement replaces Chapter 2 of the Player’s Handbook, separating biological traits and cultural traits into parentage and upbringing. Players choose two birth parents and an upbringing to define a character, then select a background and class as normal. The system supports combining different ancestries and cultures in a single character.
