This volume contains four adventures set beyond the familiar borders of Tsolyánu. Characters hunt strange creatures, travel with a trading caravan, journey to Penóm to avoid an arranged marriage, and cross the ocean to Livyánu. The adventures involve encounters with unfamiliar peoples, unusual customs, rare antiquities, strange insects, dangerous sea travel, and agents of the secret police.
