Break the Siege
A city is surrounded and under constant attack, with its local guard overwhelmed. Players take on the roles of adventurers responding to eleven stand-alone siege encounters, saving civilians and defending the city before lives or property are lost. Scenarios include closing the gates, defending a shelter, putting out fires, destroying siege engines, holding a breach, stopping an infiltrator, opening a secret route, and confronting the enemy captain. Each single-page challenge includes a sample map and encounter tables scaled for parties from levels 1 to 10, with invader options for drow, greenskins, humans, and undead. The setting-neutral encounters can be adapted to any fantasy city.
