Carcassonne: Towers & Thieves

2006 · Expansion for Base-game

Carcassonne: Towers & Thieves

Players build towers by placing tower segments on tiles or adding segments to existing towers, and may place a follower on top to finish a tower. Towers grant a ranged capture ability: a tower of height N can capture opposing meeples in orthogonal view up to N tiles away. Captured meeples are removed from the board and can be liberated later at a cost to the owning player. Tile placement and follower management integrate with the base game’s scoring and area control mechanics, adding a spatial, height-based tactical layer to captures and defenses.

It changes quite a lot the basic game flow. It can be funny if you had played Carcassone many times
