Carcassonne: Sheep & Shepherds

2014 · Expansion for Base-game

Carcassonne: Sheep & Shepherds

Players add hill and vineyard tiles to the landscape and place followers to claim roads, cities, monasteries and fields as in the base game, with new terrain that alters scoring. Hills are created by stacking tiles and act as tie-breakers: a follower on a hill gains priority when players share control of a feature. Vineyards add bonus points to completed monasteries, encouraging disruption of opponents' cloister-building. Shepherds are new field-only followers that let players draw sheep tokens when they expand their pasture or cash in accumulated sheep for points. A small number of wolf tokens are hidden among the sheep, introducing a push‑your‑luck risk to collecting livestock.
