Celles: The Ardennes, December 23-27, 1944

A tactical simulation of the Ardennes fighting at the high watermark of the German offensive, focused on the drive toward the Meuse River and the tense window before fuel and time run out. Players command company- to battalion-level formations over 12-hour turns on a one-mile hex map, conducting advances, counterattacks and defensive stands as units suffer fatigue and reduced strength after activity. An alternating random-activation chit-pull system gives formations variable activations each turn, representing fuel shortages, command uncertainty and piecemeal reinforcements; some formations may act multiple times while others remain idle. Scales and components support two-player or solitaire play in about three hours with medium complexity.
