Players run an expanding café and add cakes to the menu to meet increasing customer demand. Hire staff and assign them to actions, use cake and drink cards to fulfill orders, and manage upgrades on new player boards. Components include new order cards, staff abilities, and 3D cake pieces that interact with resource and order resolution.

I guess it makes the og game a little bit deeper by adding more stuff to do during your turn, but it doesn't change the game enough for the asking price imo
