Conquest of the Pacific

A two-player strategic naval wargame set entirely in the Pacific where one side fields many ships but limited production while the other has fewer units and greater industrial capacity. Players move fleets and aircraft between sea zones and islands, conduct amphibious invasions, and fight large naval battles. Aircraft operate from islands and project defensive power one sea zone outward, can scramble during the opponent’s movement phases, land and take off without spending movement against adjacent sea zones, and escort other units. Capital ships and destroyers provide bombardment support during invasions (and once per turn outside invasions). Battleships and carriers absorb multiple hits and can be repaired at friendly ports. Scenarios emphasize fleet consolidation, supply lines, and island-hopping maneuver and attrition.
