Cruel Seas: Imperial Japanese Navy Fleet

This naval combat game focuses on the nighttime cat-and-mouse actions fought around the Philippines, Guadalcanal, and the Solomon Islands. Scenarios include Japanese sub chasers hunting crippled submarines, minelayers operating at night, and barge convoys defending themselves in shallow water against PT boats. Other engagements feature American landing ships and Shin’yō kamikaze craft. Players command forces ranging from sophisticated warships to improvised small craft. Japanese forces rely on bold, close-range attacks, while maintaining distance allows Allied technology and firepower to prevail.
