Cthulhu Wars: The Sleeper Expansion
A new Great Old One faction invades the map as a slow, economy-driven cult centered on Tsathoggua’s indolent vigor. The faction forces opponents into sacrifices, captures and sacrifices enemy monsters, and brings new sorceries and underground creatures that appear for free and burrow into play. New pieces include arcane wizards that teleport to enemy faction cards and parasitize their special abilities, and Formless Spawn whose combat strength scales with how many are on the board. Keywords and abilities such as Cursed Slumber, Lethargy, Death from Below, and Burrow emphasize efficiency: the faction trades tempo for powerful, compact threats and asymmetric disruption.
