Deep Carbon Observatory
This fantasy roleplaying adventure begins in a town devastated by an unexpected flood. The party travels through drowned lands where desperate families shelter among the ruins and monstrous creatures emerge from a disordered natural world, then explores the tomb of an ancient race and a hidden deep region exposed for the first time in millennia. The journey ends at an abandoned treasure palace known as the Observatory, where ancient guardians, valuable relics, and a pale, unexpected terror await. The adventure is difficult and carries a significant risk of character death, with minimal statistics presented for Lamentations of the Flame Princess and easily adapted to other simple D&D systems.
