The annual apple festival in Alriksfurt is threatened when the holy apple basket of Nadiana is stolen from the Peraine chapel. The adventurers investigate the damaged shrine and follow the trail into the Reichsforst. Their search leads to supernatural forces, a thieving pest worm, an evil tree, and charcoal burners who will stop at nothing to protect their sinister plan. The adventure combines wilderness exploration, social encounters, and combat as the heroes attempt to recover the basket and return it safely to the village.
