In the aftermath of an attack on Perricum, the city mourns its dead and struggles to rebuild. Behind the scenes, rival factions search for the secret records of the late Countess Rimiona Paligan, which may contain compromising information about the powerful. The heroes become involved in a covert race to locate the documents. They must investigate carefully, choose between fragile alliances and open hostility, and act with discretion while navigating political intrigue.
