An expansion that adds inventions and technological developments to the base card game. It introduces 30 cards—mostly from a 1997 tournament set plus two new additions—that emphasize buildings and innovations such as a university and cannon. Players integrate the new cards into their existing decks to expand strategic options: new structures, technologies and effects change resource management, development timing and player interaction. Recommended for ages 12 and up; artwork by Franz Vohwinkel.
