Forests of Pangaia

Players take the role of young forest spirits spreading life across a barren land and performing rituals to honor the All-Mother. Each turn, players plant and grow trees, expand their forest territory, and resolve ritual actions that convert growth into Gaia’s life energy. The game combines area control and tableau-building as players choose where to place trees, when to interact with neighboring forests, and which rituals to complete. Strategic decisions balance isolated development against mingling with others to gain benefits from diversity and shared effects.

Very fun abstract game where you are growing your trees in different locations to try and score the formations the recipe cards demand. You gain benefits from using other player's underdeveloped trees, but they gain benefits if you use their developed ones. Very satisfying longish filler game. Beautiful wooden components for trees.
