Players take the role of a young stablehand in Port Blacksand who dreams of leaving his quiet life behind. After years of secretly observing soldiers and practising swordplay, he prepares to follow the path of an adventurer. The game follows his training and early adventures as players make decisions, develop his abilities, and face the challenges of becoming a hero.
