It's a Wonderful World: Corruption & Ascension
A new deck of cards integrates with the base game to add Ascension cards that mix with classic Development cards each turn. Ascension cards introduce pair-scoring mechanics and a corruption element that change how cards interact and score. The expansion also increases the player count, supporting games of up to seven players.

Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I shuffle the Corruption & Ascension cards into the base-game deck?
No. Shuffle the Corruption & Ascension cards separately and place them in their own face-down deck beside the base-game deck. They are still Development cards despite having different backs (p. 1).
Can I choose either type of card during the draft?
Yes. You may always choose either a base-game card or a Corruption & Ascension card from the cards passed to you. After drafting your seventh card, discard any cards remaining in your hand (p. 1).
How does Corruption affect my production?
Subtract your Corrupted Resources from your production of the matching Resource, and the resulting total determines both the cubes you take and your Supremacy score. Production cannot go below zero; if Corruption exceeds production for a Resource, that production is treated as 0 (p. 2).
How do I score a duo at the end of the game?
For each duo-scoring card, count the complete pairs of the indicated card types in your Empire and multiply that number by the listed victory points. Those cards also count normally for the base game's multiplier scoring (p. 2).
In solo mode, can I draw base-game and Corruption & Ascension cards together?
No. When drawing after discarding two cards, choose one deck type: draw 5 entirely base-game cards and keep 1, or draw 3 entirely Corruption & Ascension cards and keep 1. The two types cannot be combined in the same draw (p. 3).
What happens if players tie for the Supremacy bonus with 6 or 7 players?
If one player is solely first and players tie for second, only first place receives the bonus; if exactly two players tie for first, both receive it; and if three or more players tie for first, nobody receives it. For the Science bonus, each recipient independently chooses either a General or a Financier (p. 3).
