Nemesis: Retaliation – Xyrians Expansion

An independent octopus-like faction that blends stealth and advanced technology to hide in plain sight. Xyrian Tokens mark possible presences on the board, but a token only reveals whether a creature is present when a character enters and investigates the area. They act autonomously with shifting objectives that can make them ally or oppose other factions, creating dynamic scenarios and inter-species conflicts players can exploit. Encounters introduce new serious-wound effects and unique attacks—nets, poisons, and persistent hunting markers—that alter movement, actions, and threat priority. Defeating a Xyrian is difficult but yields rare equipment and items, adding targeted high-risk, high-reward incentives to engage this unpredictable threat.
