Operation Watchtower: ASL Historical Study Guadalcanal
This historical study examines the Guadalcanal campaign through sixteen tactical scenarios covering key actions from August to December 1942. Players command American and Japanese squads, leaders, weapons, and vehicles across engagements including the Tenaru, Edson’s Ridge, the Matanikau River, and the Gifu strongpoint. The package includes a 42x30 historical map, cardstock scenarios, campaign background, a countersheet, and additions for the Edson’s Ridge mini-HASL. Each game turn represents two minutes, with units scaled to squads of five to ten men and individual leaders, guns, and vehicles. Scenarios typically take around two hours and support two-player, team, or solitaire play.
