Overlord: Wargame Rules for the Normandy Campaign – June-August 1944

A set of miniature wargame rules for tactical-level combat in Normandy from June to August 1944, using forces from individual soldiers and vehicles up to full battalions. The rules support miniature scales from 1:300th to 28mm, with 15mm recommended. Play follows Initiative, Move, Fire, Close Assault, and Morale phases, with a Watch and Shoot phase for pre-emptive and opportunity fire. Units must be spotted before being targeted, while cover, movement, weapon types, and unit morale affect combat results. Hidden setup and limited hidden movement allow defenders to establish concealed positions. Infantry squads, weapon teams, leaders, and individual armored vehicles form the basic units, with simple anti-tank rules suited to combined-arms actions rather than large tank battles.
