In the wastelands beyond the Golden City, nomadic survivors known as Hitchhikers seek opportunities to join or exploit those they encounter. They rely on negotiation, cunning, or brute force to survive and pursue the promise of the distant utopia. Players face riders, gangs, rebels, outlanders, and their minions—exiles who were denied entry to the Golden City. Anyone attempting to cross the wastelands must contend with these hostile groups and the dangers they bring.
