Sagrada: The Great Facades – Passion

2019 · Expansion for Base-game

Sagrada: The Great Facades – Passion

An expansion set themed on the cathedral’s Passion facade that adds modular content to base games. It introduces inspiration cards that alter play, rare glass dice and rare glass cards that provide new scoring elements, and rare glass private objectives for hidden goals. It also adds symmetry-based public objectives that reward patterned placement. All modules can be used individually or combined with other expansion parts.

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

When can I use my Inspiration ability?

Unless the card says otherwise, Inspiration Abilities may be used any time during your own turn; some are limited to once per round or once per game — after using an ability flip the card face‑down, and turn once‑per‑round cards face‑up at the start of the next round (p. 3).

Can I place a Rare Glass die on a space that has a color restriction on my window pattern?

Yes — Rare Glass Dice may be placed over any color restriction on a Window Pattern Card, but they must still obey shade (value) placement and adjacency restrictions (p. 6).

How many Rare Glass dice can I have in my window at once?

You may have only one Rare Glass Die in your window; if you already have one you may not use a Rare Glass Board to take another (p. 5).

When and how can I take a Rare Glass die from the Rare Glass Board?

As an action during your turn you may pay Favor Tokens to use a Rare Glass Board and take a Rare Glass Die (unless a specific board says otherwise); the Rare Glass Board is set up before tool card selection (pp. 4–5).

Do Rare Glass dice count as empty spaces or toward color‑variety scoring?

A space holding a Rare Glass Die is not considered empty, and Rare Glass Dice count as a unique color for Row/Column Color Variety scoring (p. 6).

Can I mix the new Symmetry public objectives with the base game public objectives?

Yes — Symmetry objectives can be mixed into the public objective pool, but the rulebook recommends avoiding combinations that work at cross‑purposes (for example, Vertical Color Balance vs. Column Color Variety, or Horizontal Shade Symmetry vs. Row Shade Variety) (p. 7).
