San Juan 1897: Special Edition

Players build a city in late-19th-century Puerto Rico by playing cards as either buildings or currency. Each round, players assume roles that grant actions—draw, build, produce, sell, or ship—and use cards to construct production and special buildings that generate goods or provide bonuses. Cards serve dual purposes: they represent structures when played to the tableau or act as payment when discarded to fund new construction. The edition updates artwork and layouts and includes a comprehensive set of previously released buildings (with some renamed), while event cards from earlier expansions are not present.
