Santorini: Golden Fleece

Adds new god powers, single-use hero abilities, and a Golden Fleece figure to the base game. Players draft or choose gods that alter movement or building rules, and may take a hero whose strong ability can be used once per game. The Golden Fleece is a shared token that grants its holder a god power while held, creating shifting advantages on the board. Designed to mix with the base set, the expansion increases variety and asymmetric interactions, and provides an option to balance skill differences or ease new players into the core mechanics.

- Expansion - As it incorporates new characters with new powers, and a couple of new mechanics, I consider this expansion very interesting for Santorini fans. However, the base game has lots of characters, so it is not really necessary if it's not one of your most played games.

If you love the base game, this expansion is well worth picking up, but it is by no means essential. It gives some different options for gameplay to mix it up, but the base game has tons of replayability as-is.
