Scythe: The Rise of Fenris

Adds an eight-episode campaign that continues the core conflict across linked plays, introducing persistent unlocks, surprises, and a resettable conclusion that spans multiple sessions. Also offers eleven modular options that can be mixed and matched instead of—or after—the campaign, including a fully cooperative module and compatibility with existing expansions. Components include new plastic miniatures, wooden tokens, custom dice, tiles and numerous cardboard tokens, plus an episodic guidebook and hidden-content boxes that reveal mechanics as the campaign progresses.

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

Can my airship take control of a territory or spend resources on a territory it's on?

Airships never control territories, so being alone on a territory with only an airship does not give you control (nor the territory’s resources); if you don’t control the territory by some other means you cannot spend those territory resources (page 3). Resources placed on your airship remain under your control until you spend or drop them and count for end‑game scoring (page 4).

Can airships fly over rivers and lakes, or move through tunnels and home bases?

Airships are not constrained by rivers or lakes and can move freely over them (page 3), but they may not move onto home bases or move through tunnels or mines (page 5).

If I put workers on my airship, do they produce, give control of the territory, or let Albion use Rally to move to them?

Workers on an airship do not give control of the airship’s territory and cannot produce or trade there, and opponents cannot interact with those workers; Albion’s Rally can only target workers on a territory (not on an airship) (page 4).

How many resources or workers can an airship carry, and do those resources count for scoring?

Each aggressive airship tile grants the constant ability to carry either up to 3 resources or up to 2 workers (this applies to all airships) (page 4). Resources on the airship remain yours until spent or dropped and are counted in end‑game scoring (page 4).

Do airships affect combat — do they let me play extra combat cards or cause retreats?

Having an airship on a combat territory does not increase the number of combat cards you may play (page 5). The Blitzkrieg aggressive ability is the only case where airships fight each other (the winner gains a star), and otherwise airships do not cause other units to engage or retreat (page 5).

Can airships use mech abilities or benefit from Factory Move cards?

Airships do not benefit from mech abilities because they are neither mechs nor characters (page 5). However, if you use a Factory card’s Move action for an airship, the airship’s range is increased by +1 (page 5).
