Adds a 15-card Challenge deck of Ruinous Nightmares that alters encounter difficulty and rewards. Players draw from the deck during Adventures to introduce new, horrific threats tied to three selectable Nightmare Levels (1, 2, or 3), each increasing challenge and danger. Encounters force characters to confront sanity-draining effects, tougher foes, and escalating penalties while offering greater loot or other rewards for surviving higher levels.

- Expansion - This is a card supplement conceived to fix the low difficulty problem some players face, specially with 5-or-higher level posses. These cards are applied to the battles in your adventures, giving your heroes disadvantages or the enemies many different boosts. The cards do not change any other aspect of the game other than combat, but are pretty varied and can definitely ramp up the difficulty in a significant way. If you are facing this problem and want to keep your current posse, including this may be what you are looking for.
