Shadows of Brimstone: Other Worlds – Blasted Wastes

Explore a hostile alien prison world of corrosive sands, toxic dust storms, and boiling suns where survivors form warbands to scavenge for resources and buried relics. Players lead hero characters across modular map tiles, confront new enemy types including scavengers, sand crabs, warlords and spectral warriors, navigate environmental hazards like acid pools and sandstorms, and trade or upgrade at a new Barter Town. Components include full map tiles and enemy and event cards for running scenarios in the Blasted Wastes (with alternate maps on the reverse).

    - Expansion - Other Worlds should be your next buy after the Core Sets (or after completing previous OWs you have purchased). The amount of content in their boxes is amazing. You may want to get their supplements or their signature enemies in order to fully flesh them out, but there are lots of adventures to live in them anyway. The Blasted Wastes is probably the most different and fun OW. It allows you to go into the Canyons instead of staying on the Mines, which is a major thematic breakthrough, and it includes a Barter Town that you can visit when staying on the Blasted Wastes instead of going to the classic Old West town (or Feudal Japan village). It has a day-night cycle and its own currency system apart from Gold: all of it makes BW the OW in which you could establish yourself, rather than just appearing on it and going back ASAP.
