Players control Heroes who navigate modular map tiles, confront three new enemy types including Necronauts, and uncover futuristic weapons and technology while managing rising stress and sanity threats. The expansion introduces new missions, enemy decks, and assorted cards that alter combat and exploration, and includes map tiles and encounter content that integrate with base scenarios. Optional drone and auto-turret units appear as add-on components in some editions.
