Shadows of Brimstone: Other Worlds – Forest of the Dead

A shadowy OtherWorld between realms where the dead roam among decayed trees and a cold fog clings to the air. Players move Heroes through dense woods and ruined stone, managing light and positioning as they confront undead foes and new forest creatures. The expansion provides unique Map cards, Encounters, Artifacts and Threat cards, plus Global Rules printed on the World card that alter exploration. Enemies include undead variants of existing monsters as well as bespoke threats, and play emphasizes navigation of cramped terrain, fog effects, and resolving scenario-specific encounters and treasures.

    - Expansion - Other Worlds should be your next buy after the Core Sets (or after completing previous OWs you have purchased). The amount of content in their boxes is amazing. You may want to get their supplements or their signature enemies in order to fully flesh them out, but there are lots of adventures to live in them anyway. Forest of the Dead is an OW which kinda feels designed to keep everything in touch. It can perfectly be combined with the original core sets even if it was part of the Forbidden Fortress campaign. It is the perfect environment for medium-high level posses who have lost some Hero friends along the way. Creepy and disturbing, it is the place where EVERYTHING goes to die... meaning that you could encounter any enemy in the game in a zombified / gosthly version. A fantastic addition for groups who have already played SoB for quite some time.
