The Book of the Smoke
A fictional guide to occult London, presented as the work of Augustus Darcy, a 1933 author commissioned by a mysterious secret society. Following his death, the book’s accounts of the city’s hidden history contain clues about a possible magical war, incursions from other dimensions, the mysterious Brotherhood, and his own murder. Part autobiography, murder mystery, and occult miscellany, it serves as both a Keeper’s resource for Trail of Cthulhu and a handout for players in Mythos games. Its contacts, rumours, and clues provide leads for investigations through the streets of London.
