The Last Equation (Call of Cthulhu)
Investigators examine a series of murders in Alliance, New Jersey, where a mathematics student has inscribed a sequence of numbers with dangerous paranormal properties. The case involves tracing how the number was distributed, locating and destroying the student’s notes, and eliminating the inscription and photographic evidence. Players investigate the crime, identify anyone exposed to the number, and conceal the operation through fabricated evidence linking the student to one of the victims. The scenario combines procedural investigation with cosmic horror and covert-agency protocols.
