The Onmyoji: A Japanese Occult Diviner
This roleplaying supplement presents the onmyōji, an occult diviner who communes with kami and channels their power through talismans and petitions. The class serves as a support-focused spellcaster accompanied by a powerful shikigami, a bound spirit with its own spellcasting resources. Rather than using traditional prepared spells, the onmyōji places area-denial o-fuda and single-target omamori, whose effects can be bypassed by destroying the talismans. The supplement includes 29 talismans, 28 petitions invoking powerful spirits and deities, and feats for developing bonds with the Seven Lucky Gods, the shikigami, and the onmyōji’s supernatural abilities.
