The Priest and the Hangman
A standalone roleplaying encounter for characters of 3rd–5th level centers on several NPCs arguing over the fate of a man accused of murder. The scenario presents a moral quandary that challenges the party’s judgment and can develop into an unusual combat encounter. The pack includes NPC statistics and roleplaying notes, printable inch-scale battle maps, and statistics for a lynch mob, along with rules for running and adapting the mob to the situation.
