Those Who Prey Upon the Weak

An expanded adventure seed for four 4th- to 5th-level characters, set in the aftermath of a devastating meteorite impact. Displaced survivors seek shelter as darkness, overcrowding, refugees, con artists, and other dangers threaten the remaining population. The scenario provides a framework for a mini-adventure, along with mood and atmosphere details for roleplaying in a disaster-stricken setting. It relies on material from the accompanying source adventure and leaves room for the DM to add locations, NPCs, and other content. The meteorite may be mundane, thaumaturgic, or an engram ark, with challenges arising from both supernatural and human threats.
