This gothic-themed magical accessory explores societies built around absolute monarchy, despotism, and unquestioning obedience, making it suitable for campaigns featuring tyrannical rulers and oppressive traditions. It adds four inquisitor judgments, including pursuit and murder, along with new Vows of Obedience and Self-Sacrifice. Characters can learn spells of torment such as extravasation of tears, revenancer’s rage, and ruthless beating, with options for inquisitors, ki-powered characters, and Lawful Evil antipaladins. The supplement also includes rules for characters of various classes to embrace pain and servitude.
