Heroes enter a shifting tomb beneath the Island of Paxectel, a pocket realm hidden within the primordial Maelstrom. They may seek lost knowledge or treasure, answer the call of an imprisoned angel, or stumble through a portal from another world. Inside, they navigate dangerous corridors, battle monstrous inhabitants, uncover clues to an ancient prophecy and betrayal, and find allies among those who came before. Their struggle leads to a confrontation with an artifact that harvests souls and an immortal mage who has spent millennia gathering power.
