Martian tripods invade Earth in 1918, interrupting World War One as aviators from different nations unite to resist the alien threat. Players pilot biplanes and triplanes while commanding steam-powered tripods, using the Wings of Glory movement-and-combat system to plan maneuvers, resolve ranged attacks, and manage altitude and facing. The standalone set provides scenario-driven missions, counters and templates for dogfights and tripod assaults, and rules for interactions between aircraft and towering tripods on the battlefield.
