World At War 85: America Breached

Set in an alternate 1985, this platoon-level combat game depicts an allied Warsaw Pact incursion across the Rio Grande into Texas. With U.S. forces committed to conflicts overseas, invading units raid deep into the state to seize or disrupt access to its oil resources. Players command military formations in fast-moving ground engagements, using initiative, formation activation, variable turn lengths, close air support, and air cover. Both attacking and defending units roll dice, compare results, and apply hits using information printed on the counters, without a combat results table.
