Worm in the Earth
While adventuring beneath the earth, the party encounters an immense purple worm in its underground territory. The creature attacks from any direction and retreats into its network of tunnels when injured—or after consuming an unfortunate adventurer. Its mobility allows it to challenge parties that can fly or otherwise evade many subterranean foes.
