The frescoes, mosaics, murals and reliefs range from beautiful to horrific and strange, and can establish a site’s importance, enrich a scene or conceal clues and hidden objects. The designs are built into walls, floors and ceilings, making them difficult to remove or transport. The PDF supports Adobe layers, allowing page backgrounds and images to be disabled for easier printing.
