ASL Comp: Orders For The Major – The Battle Of Normandy 1944
A tactical simulation of Operation Epsom, also known as the First Battle of the Odon, fought near Gavrus in Normandy, France, in 1944. British and German forces clash using individual vehicles, artillery pieces, support weapons, squads, and leaders. The nine scenarios and campaign game cover close-quarters fighting around villages and bridges, as well as long-range tank engagements across relatively flat, open terrain with little bocage. Designer’s notes provide historical background, sources, and photographs of landmarks from the depicted actions.
