Barons of the Backwaters (Fan expansion to 1846: The Race for the Midwest)
Adds new components and rules that expand player count, economic depth, and map options. Supports up to six players by enlarging the bank and lengthening the stock market while introducing new trains and a new public corporation. Several existing private companies are adjusted and many new private companies are added, plus directional bonuses that modify income and scoring on the map. Plays like the base system but with extended playtime, more investment and operational choices, and greater route-building complexity.
