Beneath the Med: Regia Marina at Sea 1940-1943

Command an Italian submarine on solitary patrols in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and beyond from 1940 to the 1943 armistice. Players pick from ten historically profiled submarine classes, manage crew and systems, and undertake missions such as merchant attacks, convoy engagements, mine-laying, commando and human-torpedo delivery, and hazardous harbor penetrations. Gameplay resolves tactical encounters with individual ships, convoys, escorts, enemy submarines and aircraft across day and night; damage is tracked in detail (hull, flooding, engines, batteries, periscope, weapons, crew casualties, etc.). Campaign elements include named historical targets, patrol reassignment, commander promotion, random historical events and evolving patrol zones as the war progresses.
