Book of Exalted Darkness: Killing the Golden Twins
A 5th Edition scenario for second-level evil characters, set in the decopunk fantasy world of Askis. The party works for the mad scientist Gespadrieux, who seeks to injure a legendary Celestial Hero by arranging the assassination of her angel-touched descendants at an institute in Ourianos. Players bribe, deceive, and sneak through the city while preparing and carrying out the murder, then attempt to escape as fugitives. Success brings forbidden knowledge, wealth, and dark powers, but also the attention of authorities and the vengeance of an immortal hero.
