Close Action: The Age of Fighting Sail Vol. 1
A naval wargame covering roughly the Age of Sail with some actions from the American Revolution and the War of 1812. It presents about 25 scenarios ranging from single ship duels and training exercises to fleet engagements, using period British, French, Russian, Turkish, and Spanish vessels. Players command squadrons on two large hex maps, plot ship movements, send signal orders, and allocate crew tasks such as sail handling and gun crews. Counters and markers represent individual ships and status effects, and the rules scale to small or very large player counts for tactical and fleet-level maneuvering.
