Elsenborn Ridge: Tactical Combat During the Battle of the Bulge – A Panzer Grenadier Game

A tactical World War II wargame that simulates the December 1944 fighting on the northern shoulder of the Ardennes offensive. Players command American and German forces—infantry, armored units, artillery and aircraft—across wooded hills, road networks and villages over 35 scenarios that range from small infantry actions to larger combined-arms battles. Gameplay uses unit counters, semi-rigid mapboards and the series’ fourth-edition rules to resolve movement, combat, armor-versus-infantry interactions and supporting fires. Scenarios recreate historical engagements such as defensive stands, counterattacks and armored drives, with distinct orders of battle for U.S. regulars, airborne units and both Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS formations.
