Old School Tactical: Volume 1 – Fighting on the Eastern Front 1941/42

A tactical-level wargame depicting small-unit engagements on the Eastern Front in 1941–42. Players command counters that represent individual soldiers, guns and vehicles and resolve scenarios built from historical encounters. A distinctive impulse system allocates a variable number of actions to each side, so play alternates as players spend impulses to move, fire and perform other actions. The system produces fast shifts in initiative and localized firefights as control of impulses and timing determine who can act when.
